The system uses special glasses with liquid crystal eyepieces (LCD). To demonstrate 2D / 3D content in the XPAND X101 system, the principle of synchronizing the projected image with the operation of the shutters of active LCD glasses is applied. In this system, the image for each eye is formed in series, alternating between frames. Simultaneously with the projection of the left frame, the transmitter sends a control signal to the cinema. Active glasses, receiving this signal, open the left and close the right LCD shutters. Thus, an image for the left eye is formed, respectively, the image for the right eye will be formed in the next frame.
